Hi Everyone and welcome to my first ever blog!
It’s been a busy first few weeks back at school since the summer holidays, (which now seem so long ago) and I just wanted to keep you up to date with things that I am involved with at the moment here at Riverside.
I am happy to report that as from this week, Monday 15 September, Lunchtime Clubs are now up and running again, these consist of:
We are desperate for bits and bobs for the Handicraft Club such as: wool, pieces of material, buttons, knitting needles, crochet hooks, old socks and tights (washed please!), dolly pegs, etc. Any donations can be left for me in Reception and will be greatly appreciated.
Also if anyone has any old gardening tools/equipment that they no longer need we would also be very grateful for any donations of these. Seeds and plants will also be given very good homes!
Carrying on with the gardening theme, would any parent/carer be interested in joining me for a working party on Tuesday 30 September from 3pm until 4pm to do a big garden tidy up. Things are starting to look a bit untidy in the garden and the idea is to cut back bushes/trees, do some weeding and generally tidy up the playground. All volunteers very welcome!
Lastly, we are holding a McMillan Coffee morning in school on Friday 26 September. There will be no school assembly on that day and the Coffee Morning will take place in the hall from 8.30am until 10.30am. Please come along for a cuppa and a natter to raise money for this fantastic cause. Once again donations will be gratefully accepted, this time of buns and cakes to sell with the refreshments on the day.
Many thanks for all your continued support.
