A focus on thinking about others this week
Tomorrow we have our annual McMillan coffee morning – 8.30am – 10.30am in the school hall. Please support this event, it would be great to see a full hall!
Next Friday is our Harvest assembly. As last year we are asking for tinned and dried foods but this year we are supporting two different charities, Smartmove (our usual charity) and the Todmorden Food drop- in Centre. Both charities work tirelessly to supply people/families with basic food items and toiletries. I know how generous Riverside families are in supporting our Harvest appeal – PLEASE give as generously as you can, not a tin is wasted!
The assembly is at 9.05am and each class in school is contributing an ‘item’ to the assembly. Who knows – maybe Mr Raven can be persuaded to sing with his class again? I look forward to welcoming you to this annual event (as I shall be attending too!)
Finally, a big thank you to Mrs Scarf for what has been a busy ‘sport filled’ week with after school activities as follows:
Tuesday – football match, Wednesday – a taster orienteering session, Thursday, unihoc tournament with lots of local school teams. As I write, the unihoc tournament is still in progress, I’m sure you’ll hear the outcome in Friday assembly!
