Dear parent/carer,

Following a notification in August that our Sports Premium allocation has been doubled, this has enabled us to organise further short notice events. Your child’s class has therefore been chosen to take part in Forest School activities which will take place on Monday afternoons for 6 weeks (13th November – 18th December).

Tinderwood Trust Forest School has been working in Calderdale for many years and is organised and run by qualified Forest School Leaders. Forest School is all about encouraging the freedom to learn using many sensory experiences and is designed to give children the opportunity to engage with hands on learning in a wild natural environment.  Some of the many aims are to develop confidence and self-esteem, citizenship and creativity.

Please ensure that your child comes to school wearing sensible footwear and a rainproof coat.

Children will walk to and from Forest School and return to school by 3.00pm.

Please could you take the time to read the attached letter from Forest School and return the consent form in order for your child to participate.

Kind regards,
