Welcome to Year Five - Kingfishers

As Spring 1 draws to a close, we can begin to start looking forward to Spring 2 and the approach of Easter! Longer days and nicer weather means that the children can begin to access more of our outdoor space - so please make sure that jackets and shoes suitable for outdoor learning are worn every day.

Our Geography curriculum explores the water cycle and the impact of flooding. Guests from Slow the Flow and our local flood wardens will be visiting school to work with the children to learn more about this. Our Science learning focuses on ‘Living Things and their Habitats’, including: describing the differences in the life cycles of a mammal, an amphibian, an insect and a bird and describing the life process of reproduction in some plants and animals.
