Snow Day Activities!
It may be that you’re just outside getting stuck into building snowmen…or snowpeople…getting cold, watching Christmas movies way too early and drinking copious amounts of hot chocolate.
It may be that you’re stuck inside looking for something to do, and if that is the case, look no further than this page. See below for lots of activities and ideas for what to do when we’re all snowed under…
If you don’t have the capability to print out, you can still look at the activities opposite on a screen and work on lined or plain paper, or you can think of some of the below tasks:
1.) Build and dress a snowman that looks like someone famous! Who could it be? Jennifer Snowpez anyone?
2.) Get artistic! Root through those drawers and under beds and dig out those art sets you once gave as a present (or perhaps a well meaning relative gave them) and get artistic! Snow landscapes are amazingly inspirational to recreate.
3.) Look through the bookcase for any themed snow stories on the shelf and get reading! Who knows what you’ll find on those shelves…Polar Express? Narnia series?
4.) Make your own snowflakes using scissors - we used to do it as children so it’s time to revisit those scissor skills (How to Make Paper Snowflakes | Martha Stewart)
5.) Write a letter to a loved one - we always feel we never have the time to write letters…it’s a WhatsApp group or text these days. Do you have a relative far away? Then get a piece of paper and a pen, take sometime sitting with a good view, natural light, with music playing in the background and say hello by letter. When it arrives it will be treasured.
If you are fortunate to have a printer at home, then the following activities can be printed out and enjoyed at home:
